The Muppet Movie. Kermit is the amphibian, and in the opening of the movie Don DeLuese (sp?) is lost in Kermit’s swamp. “Help me, I’m lost!” “Have you tried Hari Krishna?”

20,000 Leagues Under the Sea (1954): The protagonists lose their way when they're thrown overboard and abandoned after Nemo rams their ship (with no shortage of fish when they later go diving).

The Shining: It could be said that Jack loses his virtue when he kisses the woman in Room 237. He certainly loses his way in the hedge maze, and clearly loses his mind, with mirrors playing a signifcant role throughout (e.g. Wendy’s 'eureka’ moment, looking into the bedroom mirror and seeing REDRUM in a whole new light).

IT

The kids use a map of the sewers to track down Pennywise, the deadlights steal minds, "bevvie, I worry about you". bonus - while it's glossed over/dropped in the movie, there's the famous group sex (with them ALL losing their virtue) to get out of the sewers ;)

I saw a commercial on late night TV. It said, "Forget everything you know about slipcovers." So I did. And it was a load off my mind. Then the commercial tried to sell me slipcovers, and I didn't know what the hell they were. -- Mitch Hedberg
