Dammit. I can't understand HOW the refs missed that call. Of all the ticky tacky interference calls that do get called and that one slips by. Fuck!

That was two blantant pass interference no calls for the Saints. The second one just hurt the most. Totally inexcusable.

Awful no call. I can’t believe the refs didn’t see it; probably just didn’t want to be the deciding factor in the game. Turns out by not calling it they were.

I forget the player's name, but he was involved in at least two plays where he should have been flagged.

That was some bad officiating, on both sides. At least 3 Saints plays should have been blown dead for delay of game, yet Brees gets away with it. But that pass interference non call was horrible.

With that said..

Nice to see that KC is not going gently into the night...(yet,there’s a bunch of time left for NE to crush them)

Oooh,TD KC! Now they’ve angered the Patriots.

Pretty sure it was decided by Tom Brady singlehandedly dismantling the Chiefs defense, not the coin flip.

And I’d be willing to wager that the Chiefs would’ve scored if they had won the coin flip. No defense was stopping the other the last few drives.

I think both defenses ran out of steam, which is why the game got so score happy at the end. Sadly for KC the back and forth gave the ball to NE at the perfect time for NE, the start of OT where if they score a TD then Mahomes never gets to see the ball again. The upside for KC is that they essentially only played half a game and yet still almost won. They are going to be even scarier next year than this year. They aren't like the Jags, KC has a real deal as QB.

I think the KC defense was gassed. I think the Pats defense was just over matched with the second half adjustments. Including OT, the Pats had 94 plays on offense to the Chiefs 43. It was the Atlanta SB game script with the scoring thrown all out of whack (in terms of who was in control when). The Pats had 46 pass plays and 48 run plays. They possessed the ball for 21 minutes of the first half and ended with a 44 minute -21 minutes advantage in possession. And still nearly got beat. Mahomes really has his moments when he gets time.

Only 2 or 3 times a year. I could probably gut it out. And that's only if the night games were on the West Coast. With my body clock on PT, I would be a boss in all the other time zones.

One call(or missed call in this case) doesn't decide a game, but it can certainly ruin it.

It clearly did in this case. If the call was made the game would have been over.

Still a FG to kick and there would have been between 15-25s left on the clock. It would have been hard to win, but not over.

STOP.

Another example would be that despite lining up behind Tom Brady, the refs don't flag Dee Ford for lining up offsides. If they blow that call, the Chiefs are in the Super Bowl.

Your argument is more compelling with stuff like the questionable "roughing the passer" penalty awarded to the Pats because someone breathed in Brady's direction. That blown call impacted the game but didn't decide it. The call in NO absolutely decided that NO wouldn't win the game right then. They still COULD have won the game, but they shouldn't have been put in that position on such a clear, textbook example of defensive pass interference. This wasn't a tacky, could go either way call. The defender knew he was beat, so he intentionally hit him as hard as he could before the ball got there, to save the TD (his words, not mine). Even when you are "letting them play", you MUST call that flag. They didn't, and they changed the outcome of the game.

I would have wanted Brees to get his second ring but since the Rams were gifted their passage into the SB I hope they get absolutely blown out. They will probably win though. How cool would it have been for Brees to have two rings, 1 against Manning and 1 against Brady.
