Not new by any means, but back in 2012 they did a "Tiny Desk" show for NPR, available on Youtube. It's only 5 songs, but "Ode to My Family" is pretty intense for a stripped-down version.

Heh. The NPR performance was the first thing I thought of (I posted it in the other thread). I'm listening to it now. Way too young.

I had forgot about that. They formed and had hits right along with my greatest decade...the 90s. I still remember hearing their songs. Once in a Walmart parking lot Linger came on and when I hear it I cant help but sing do you have to do you have to do you have to smell my finger. People looked at me weird. Too Young RIP.

Accidental drowning in the bathtub.

God, that's depressing.

The Cranberries singer Dolores O'Riordan died accidentally from drowning because of alcohol intoxication, a British coroner said.

Witnesses told a coroner's inquest at Westminster Coroner's Court on Thursday that O'Riordan, 46, was found submerged in her bathtub at a London hotel in January. Coroner Shirley Radcliffe ruled O'Riordan's death an accident.

It was previously reported that she didn't leave a note and there was no evidence of self-harm.

Put this in the same category as drowning in ones vomit (or, in the case of Spinal Tap, someone else's vomit). So sad.

My 5 year old really likes the song and video of Zombie.

I have had one or two incidents of that, the worst of it was usually waking up in ice cold water. I realized relatively quickly that it was a bad idea and not just because I got cold. It wasn't until years later I realized that I could easily have died.

Strange this came back up as Ive been hearing the Bad Wolves cover of Zombie a lot on iheartradio.
