“If a #16 BEATS a #1 in men's basketball TONIGHT, you could score a @LittleCaesars Lunch Combo!” according to their Twitter account.
Six hours later, the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, beat the University of Virginia and everyone in the nation won a Little Caesars Lunch Combo.
On Monday, April 2, pizza lovers can walk into any participating Little Caesars location from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and pick up a lunch combo, free of charge.
The lunch combo consists of a 4-slice, deep-dish pepperoni pizza and a Pepsi product of your choice.

Their pizzas are actually good if you like bread. And their breadsticks are very good.

I bet a $6 frozen Gino's East is much, much better.
There is no Gino's on the drive home with a ready to carry out the door pizza at a moment's notice that has at worst been kept in a warming oven for a half an hour but likely came out of the oven just a few minutes ago. Not to mention I prefer a Detroit Deep Dish to a Chicago Deep Dish. It's not say Chicago is bad and I'm happy to eat it twicish a year but I prefer a greasy dough caramelized into crunchy by peanut oil to a floury layered dough.
Well, Gino's has a flaky butter crust and can be gotten in about any supermarket here.
On one of my trips to the Philippines, I brought a frozen Gino's East pizza and while it was no longer frozen when I got there, it was still ice cold. I cooked it right away, and while the pizza was in the oven, my wife happened to be watching their version of the Food Network and it had a show about the 10 best pizza places in the US. Gino's East was among those profiled.

There's one near my office, I don't mind going there for lunch (especially for a free lunch!) It tastes okay, as long as it hasn't been sitting under the heat lamp for more than a few minutes. Not a problem during lunch rush, though.
Its free pizza day. I got up ready to go and my car has a flat tire so wont be going to get that free lunch. Ill have water and either oats or mac and cheese instead.

The only ones left in NJ are all in really bad towns for the most part. Guess they aren't as picky about what they eat.
Capitalism tries for a delicate balance: It attempts to work things out so that everyone gets just enough stuff to keep them from getting violent and trying to take other people’s stuff.
All he was never heard from again. Im curious as to how big lines were if any.

drove by the Little Caesar's close to me and kept driving. Line was about 30 deep. No thanks.
Went to local family owned BBQ restaurant nearby, Gibson's, and scored free pie! Free pie this month for their 62nd anniversary. They are all homemade. Had their chocolate. Waaaay better than the free pizza!
The only reason people get lost in thought is because it's unfamiliar territory.
I wonder how many pissed off people there were today who were still in line when the promotion ended at 1 PM and were unable to get their free pizza after spending all that time in line.

you would hope they marked the end of the line at 1:00 somehow and let those folks get their pizza.

The Little Caesars website said that if you were in line at 1 PM, but hadn't yet ordered, you were SOL.

so they could slow play the cooking and give out less. Yea, that would probably be the reverse PR they were looking for. Oh well, the wait wasn't worth the $5 I would have saved.

'what is the true cost of "free"?'
Waiting an hour for a $5 low quality pizza? No thanks.

All the photos I've seen look like 100 minimum on average. Says a lot.
Of course, people will line up for any "free" thing. Not all people, but enough people.

It was a great marketing strategy for LC via lots of free advertising. It will be curious how much new/additional business they get from this.
