12-2. I'm having a hard time finding things to complain about. We lost a catcher for the year, but frankly he's ALWAYS hurt. They need to move on from that idiot. Thankfully in that trade was also got Thor so shrug. Harvey isn't impressing and I have a feeling he will never come close to how he first started. Too many injuries sapped his throwing speed and stamina. He's better than last year, but that's not really something to brag about.

Mets - Nats series starts tonight. I hope they can win this series. A reverse sweep would suck. The amazing thing about this entire start is that Cespedes has been terrible. Once he heats up omg.. :D

There have been something like 22 postponed games so far in MLB. Sox/Twins had their entire weekend series called by Friday night.

I think this is the right thread...

The Red Sox are on pace to go 144-18.

Harvey needs to be taken out back and shot. He's done and the sooner they get him out of the rotation the better. He just is never going to come back from all the injuries he has had. Sucks for him as he will be a free agent next year. He will not get many offers if any really.

I think that 9th inning vs KC broke him.

They'd be doing so badly that MLB would just go ahead and assign them three extra losses. Obviously.

He's probably my biggest disappointment of a player ever. He came in like a god, and then quickly showed he as an ahole. Which was fine as well he was lights out. Now that he sucks AND is still an ahole I just want to see him gone.

Turns out the damage from pitching a half season with Dodgers was worse than anyone could have expected. :P

I'm not too concerned (yet). His last couple of games have been going OK until he hits a bad inning. Hopefully things will smooth out soon and he'll pitch more in line with what's expected. I'm a long view kind of guy on these types of things, and tend not to panic over small sample sizes.

Also, the Cubs have rebounded a bit from early season struggles and are only half a game back of first place.

Meanwhile, the team I watch in person a lot, the Nationals, are a tidy 6 games back and are 4 games under .500. Their depth is really getting tested with all the injuries.

Someday this season the Dodgers may appreciate the Nationals beating the Dbacks but right now I'm not sure it matters. Getting ready for an ass whuppin by the Dbacks this week, wonder what the front office is going to do and when they might do it? Who knows but I think this road trip will be defining. When they bench one of the few players that are actually hitting, you know it's getting testy.

Aside from the top 2 starters the Mets are in serious trouble with the rest of the rotation. Harvey got demoted to the pen (God I never would have thought I would be saying that), Wheeler is only a meh pitcher and will never be elite (There are bags of balls smarter than him. Watch an interview it hurts), Vargas got LIT UP in his first start of the season, Matz is pitching like crap and is of course complaining about some injury. I think he may be made out of paper. Seriously it shouldn't be this hard to have more than 2 pitchers that don't totally suck. :P

Four game sweep of Milwaukee with 3 shutouts. Cubs are now 7-1 against the Brewers this year with 5 shutouts. Cubs weren't hitting a ton (no more than 3 runs in any game), but it was pretty brisk at Wrigley (and Bryant missed the first couple of games recovering from getting hit in the head earlier in the week), so hopefully things will pick back up offensively with the warm front that rolled into town overnight.

It is always disappointing to see a star go down to injury for so long, especially someone so good at such a young age. At least as a position player he could be ready for Opening Day next year, or shortly afterward.

So now the best starter on the team (no not Kershaw, Ryu, he's got the best ERA and the best WAR) goes down. We did win, but if Ryu's out for an extended period of time, that's a huge loss.
