Christmas/Wishlistmas Gift Giving - 2018 Edition

Post by Grifman »

It's getting close to that time of year again - the annual OO Christmas/Wishmas Steam Wishlist Giving. I think a lot of people enjoy this so I thought I'd start it up again for 2018. Just post that you are interested and I will add your name to the list in this post. I would also ask that if you receive a gift, give a thanks to you giver here.

Here is the link to spreadsheet where you can add your name and the number of gifts you have given/received so we can track who has and hasn't received anything. I will keep the current list of names but bold those that have signed up for this year. If you are new to this process, please add your name and relevant data to the list and bold your name. At some point, I will delete the names of any that have not signed up.

Have fun and Merry Christmas (or whatever holiday you prefer to honor)!!!

DOH! I was just thinking about this today but decided to wait until after Thanksgiving. The wife said we can put some money back at the first of Dec. Had no idea what she was talking about as we had thanksgiving dinner pre purchased for us. Im in..barely. Dont expect much from me this year. But Im in and will do what I can .

Remember folks..edit that Steam wishlist if you haven't touched it in a while. Also if you dont have one then make one :)

I'm out this year as my Steam backlog is big enough as-is and my video gaming time has plummeted in recent months. But I'll still do some drive-by gifting.

I feel its more about the fun and spirit of OO time than the gifts themselves.

I love the idea but please don't gift me anything this year (even though I will probably gift to others because you guys are a great group). I'm working with a Surface and a fanless minicomputer (N3450 based) right now so most gaming is out of the question.

I've been looking for this thread in PC Gaming for weeks. How is it everything but gaming? Has it always been here and I never noticed? Anyway, in, of course.

I also tend to end up giving to the same dozen or so people based on who keep a LOOOOONG wishlist up to date. Hopefully no hard feelings if one year I do or don't pick you to give something to. I do it based on what I want to give and who has it listed.

2013-2017 it was in PC Games. EBG is a new development.

It's in EBG because it's about buying and gifting games. Actually playing them? No, that's crazy talk. :D

Oh, and gearing up for this, don't forget what assorted crap I have free, because I don't count those as gifts I've exchanged.

I think it's clearly understood that no one counts on or expects anything from anyone during this.
We all do what we can do to help each other out without pressure or expectations.
We get that elsewhere during the season, so it's nice to not have that here.

Thank you themix for Legends of Eisenwald. I figured it must be good as it looks like a copy of Mount and Blade Warband but in medieval Europe.
