Get out of here. MIB 3 was really good.

Did they honestly just have Thor throw a tiny hammer at an alien?

It would have been even better if the alien had caught it and crushed it.

If this was the first one I might say yes. But with no Will or Tommy I have no interest. Im not being my normal negative self here. Not hating on it. Just not interested ...at least for now. Might change one day. Right now I have no interest in anything.

Edited to remove sad for self wishes.

I'm kind of with you there. I'm not feeling the chemistry in this like there was in the first two.

Putting Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson side by side again (from Thor: Ragnarok) is actually distracting, not helping. I loved Ragnarok, which is why the duo is etched into my brain as belonging there, not here... :snooty:

That would be like saying Walter Matthau and Jack Lemmon or Simon Pegg and Nick Frost shouldn't have been cast together multiple times. If the two actors have chemistry and work well together, why not cast them together?

When you put Simon Pegg and Nick Frost together in a movie, you can expect the same shenanigans over and over, and it's never not funny (to me, at least). They bring an awesome chemistry that plays well together, and I like that.

I just don't see this movie having a Ragnarok vibe, and the chemistry between this duo wasn't what made Ragnarok great - but it will be a distraction for me to see them side by side. Maybe because I'll be expecting some kind of chemistry, but know there isn't any? I don't know.

On the other hand, I didn't even realize it was the same actress.

But I did find myself (as I watched the trailer) wondering if Hemsworth can play anything other than Thor any more...

I got more Valkyrie vibe from Thompson that I did Thor from Hemsworth.

Same here and Hemsworth in the Girlie Ghostbusters was certainly not playing Thor. I think some people just see Thor in everything he does not the other way around. being Typecast blows.

Not memorable, not terrible. A fun-enough throwaway that keeps a pulse going in the franchise. Hopefully they'll try a different cast next time around.

I ID'd Hemsworth as Thor for Wife and got silence. She hasn't seen any of the Marvel movies. When I said "he was also the beefcake secretary in Girl Ghostbusters" she clicked. She won't remember him for this movie, but he was funny in that one.
