[movie] The Man Who Killed Hitler and then The Bigfoot...Sam Elliott

Post by Daehawk »

Feb 8

Sam Elliott stars as the man who killed Hitler... and apparently must kill the Bigfoot.

From YT: Since WWII, Calvin Barr has lived with the secret that he was responsible for the assassination of Adolf Hitler. Now, decades later, the US government has called on him again for a new top-secret mission. Bigfoot has been living deep in the Canadian wilderness and carrying a deadly plague that is now threatening to spread to the general population. Relying on the same skills that he honed during the war, Calvin must set out to save the free world yet again. Starring Sam Elliott (A Star is Born), Aidan Turner (“Poldark”), Caitlin FitzGerald (“Masters of Sex”) and Ron Livingston (Office Space), THE MAN WHO KILLED HITLER AND THEN THE BIGFOOT follows the epic adventures of an American legend that no one has ever heard of.

They missed a chance to have Jeff Bridges play Bigfoot.

How can someone be a legend if nobody ever heard of them?

Except the voice-over (which was from the FBI agent, right?) did talk about him. Some people were aware he existed. Or at least had heard stories. Which is why they tracked him down.

At any rate, I'm definitely in. I love Sam Elliott.

I would watch Sam Elliott kill a mosquito and then the cockroach, much less Hitler and Bigfoot.

I read there's an unannounced cameo...Mark Wahlberg IS THE BIGFOOT!

So the same part he played in The Happening and other films?

Sam Elliott's always been interesting, even in the much maligned Golden Compass. He's epic. His Mustache is epic.

Sam Elliott's Beau is easily my favorite character on The Ranch.

I believe his mustache has received at least one supporting actor award.

If it was up to me, I would give his Mustache an Oscar in every single movie it appears in. It just steals scenes.

LMAO: I actually wrote this before seeing hepcat's post :) Get outta my head! There's barely room for me in here.

Oh, I certainly wouldn't doubt it! Isn't he also the man that killed Don Quixote?

No, that was Terry Gilliam.

Public service announcement that this is now available for rent on Amazon.

I watched it and while it's probably not the movie you expect, it's a beautiful little film and the perfect vehicle for Sam Elliott.
