Re: RIP Peter Mayhew
Saw it. I thought he'd have passed years ago. He was not in the best of health at times and his hips and knees and such were in awful shape. Poor guy. Wont hurt any longer. He seemed such a gentle and nice appreciative guy. I wonder what his last Chewie role was? Rest well.

I'd guess the appearance on Glee but not 100% sure.Daehawk wrote: ↑Thu May 02, 2019 7:29 pm Saw it. I thought he'd have passed years ago. Damnit. That sucks . I know he played a few scenes in the recent movies, but mostly was a consultant for his successor.

He was a good man who dedicated his life to charity and always made time for fans. He will be missed.
It's 109 first team All-Americans.
It's a college football record 61 bowl appearances.
It's 34 bowl victories.
It's 24 Southeastern Conference Championships.
It's 15 National Championships.
At some places they play football. At Alabama we live it.

Bummer. When I went to a new school for grade 3, which was a Catholic school and I was not a Catholic, I learned how to pick my friends.
First was, "Have you seen Star Wars?"
Second was, "Who is your favorite character?"
If it wasn't Chewie I knew I would have to throw hands with that chump at some point that year.
Gonna feel bad knowing OG Chewie isn't around any more.

Sad to hear this. RIP.
I remember like yesterday how Star Wars blew my mind at age 8. I saw it 21 times in 1977-1978. Chewbacca was as real to me as anything in it.

Bummer.
Cya Peter. Thanks for Chewbacca. A remarkably well done character we will always love.

He always seemed so enthusiastic about the series and the fans. I never heard an unkind word about him. And believe me, I searched.

Being super tall is not good for longevity. It sounds like he went through the same sort of thing Richard Kiel went through in later years. RIP big guy.
I was a little disappointed to learn this morning that Chewy's voice was not a modulation of his own but a combination of various terrestrial animals.
