She is one of my favorite authors. I was introduced to her through Beloved in a lit class in 1994 and she was one of the few game changers when it comes to my relationship with reading.
Toni Morrison has passed. So very sad

Oh, man. Her writing is indescribably beautiful and cutting and true. One of the all-time greats, and certainly one of my favorite writers. Probably in my top two, right alongside Walt Whitman.
She lived a long and full life, so there's not that sense of losing someone too soon. But still, I'm feeling this one in my bones.
