RIP D.C. Fontana 80...Star Trek writer

Post by Daehawk »

A huge name to me in the Star Trek universe. Around since the beginning of Trek.

She wrote some of the best stuff for Star Trek over her lifetime. Im very sad to see her name in the passed away news. Her eps of the original Star Trek to all the work she did on other trek shows and many other non Trek shows. I also recall loving her Star Trek novels I bought and read them all. Thank you DC.

Her contribution to Star Trek in all forms is immeasurable, as is her status as pioneer for female writers in sci-fi TV. StarTrek.com reports that Fontana passed peacefully away last night, December 2nd, following a short illness. She is survived by her husband, Dennis Skotak. Our thoughts are with him and Fontana’s friends and colleagues in this sad time.

I really liked all her episodes and books. Very sad.
