Can I jump in this game? Are there rules posted somewhere? Am I right in assuming there's an honor system of no IMDb?

Rules? In a knife fight?

I don't know all the rules, but you can jump in any time.

IMDB is fair game. Judging is based solely on the whims of the judge, so the only advantage if you get the perfect answer is speed of reply.

At some point I saw "play to 10, judge decides which movie he likes best, winner is judge for next round." Thanks for the other guidance.

Those of us who play with honor eschew the use of Google and IMDB...

Oh dear, I don't do well with vagueness. I need a rule or not. IMDb completely changes the game of six degrees of Kevin Bacon, for example.

Yeah, I play with like 90% memory and 10% imdb, most of the time because I can't remember the name of a movie but I know a specific scene is in it.

What I feel is against the spirit is pick an actor and go through all their movies in to try and catch one where the director won an oscar.

For example, I can't remember who Nick Cassavetes actually is. Haven't googled/imdb'd tho.

Drive

Okay, that was without IMDb (not sure how you'd use it in that case anyway) but I can't help pointing out that the very description on IMDb is "mechanic moonlights as a getaway driver and finds himself in trouble when he helps out his neighbor."

Sure. But normally we keep the topic on the bottom of the previous round and move that to the top of the next round. Not saying that you have to do that, that's just how it is normally done. I have no problem with you making up your own cards either.

Sorry, I should have explained.
What Hentzau said.... One card expires - and one sticks around... Only one card is new each round. You are free to run the game any way you want (sincerely) , and I understand you are waiting for real cards, etc.
