What did your O2 saturation drop to where they felt you needed to be brought in? I assume they are going to be giving you pure O2 to get those levels up?

Hope this passes, how people in the states continue to think this is a hoax/joke is beyond me.

In the hospital breathing ok with a boost of oxygen. They gave me Remdesivir a bit ago. Along with steroids, vitamins, antibiotics, blood pressure medicine and asthma medicine.

Kinda seems like a kitchen sink approach but I’m glad they are trying stuff.

The Dr. said my lung x rays looked ok and some of the more serious signs they see in others they don’t see in me.

I’m just hoping to recover as much as possible.

Good to hear you may be on the mend, and best wishes going forward. BTW, you may want to request ivermectin be added to the kitchen sink course of treatment:
NYPost.com wrote:A simple treatment for COVID-19 could be cheaper than 20 bucks — and familiar to most grade school nurses.

Head lice drug ivermectin is being explored as a potential treatment for the coronavirus following a promising new study that showed an 80% reduction in hospitalized COVID-19 patient deaths.

Just 8 out of 573 patients who received ivermectin passed away, compared to the 44 individuals out of 510 who died after being given a placebo.

An earlier study of the antiparasitic prescription drug, which costs between $17 and $43 for a course of treatment, according to GoodRx, revealed promising results in April — by removing all viral RNA within 48 hours of a single dose.

Liverpool University virologist Andrew Hill has called the new study “transformational” in the search for a coronavirus therapy. His findings, based on data from over 1,400 patients, were made public in a video posted to YouTube in which Hill discusses his results in a previously aired livestream. The research currently awaits peer review prior to publishing.

“If we see these same trends observed consistently across more studies, then this really is going to be a transformational treatment,” said Hill.

The Post is just telling you what The Man doesn't want you to know. And by The Man, I mean the NIH.

Ivermectin
Last Updated: August 27, 2020

Ivermectin is a Food and Drug Administration (FDA)-approved antiparasitic drug that is used to treat several neglected tropical diseases, including onchocerciasis, helminthiases, and scabies.1 It is also being evaluated for its potential to reduce the rate of malaria transmission by killing mosquitoes that feed on treated humans and livestock. For these indications, ivermectin has been widely used and has demonstrated an excellent safety profile.

Proposed Mechanism of Action and Rationale for Use in Patients With COVID-19

Ivermectin acts by inhibiting the host importin alpha/beta-1 nuclear transport proteins, which are part of a key intracellular transport process that viruses hijack to enhance infection by suppressing the host antiviral response. Ivermectin is therefore a host-directed agent, which is likely the basis for its broad-spectrum activity in vitro against the viruses that cause dengue, Zika, HIV, and yellow fever.

Recommendation

The COVID-19 Treatment Guidelines Panel recommends against the use of ivermectin for the treatment of COVID-19, except in a clinical trial (AIII).

Rationale

Ivermectin has been shown to inhibit the replication of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) in cell cultures. However, pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic studies suggest that achieving the plasma concentrations necessary for the antiviral efficacy detected in vitro would require administration of doses up to 100-fold higher than those approved for use in humans. Even though ivermectin appears to accumulate in the lung tissue, predicted systemic plasma and lung tissue concentrations are much lower than 2 µM, the half-maximal inhibitory concentration (IC50) against SARS-CoV-2 in vitro.

Ivermectin is not approved for the treatment of any viral infection, including SARS-CoV-2 infection. The FDA issued a warning in April 2020 that ivermectin intended for use in animals should not be used to treat COVID-19 in humans.

I'd like to consider myself slightly ahead of the curve on information related to COVID-19 (and parasites!) and I can tell you 1/5/2021 is legitimately the first time I'm seeing information about Ivermectin being suggested as a treatment. That's...something.

They didn't come and swab me today and I'm very unhappy about it.

I woke up this morning feeling very very bad. Can't ever remember feeling like this. I was considering taking a trip to the ER, but I slept the day off instead. Still hoping the PCR comes out negative. I forgot my flu vaccine this year so maybe that's what I got.

Tonight I'm feeling much much better. Still very weak and I have little activity tolerance. I forced myself to eat a couple cans of Progresso soup and it gave me much needed energy.

Once I get through this I'm going home for a few weeks to recover. I'll come back again, but only two weeks at a time. 6 weeks of 75+ hour days just wore me down.

I'm considering making an executive decision and having my wife fly out here and driving me home.

Last night was rough again. Had a fever early evening and late in the evening. Both broke and I feel better. However, what bothers me is the fact I'm just lying here in this hotel room and no one checks on me or is doing a damn thing. I was told I would get swabbed yesterday and didn't see anyone. I don't need to be in the hospital, but I need to be cared for like someone who is sick.

I'm calling the case manager here shortly and demanding some help or I'm headed home to see my family doctor.

I found out yesterday at least two people I work with have tested positive and made it. Neither is what I would call an example of someone in good shape/health to begin with, so I guess they were lucky. One probably got it from her family and the other got it when they held a large funeral for her father.

I’m probably going to be fine. I found out this morning that the Remdesivir antiviral treatment is for 5 days so I’m not going home soon. My early Covid symptoms (fever, aches, eating issues) are over so I feel better.

Dr. says I have light pneumonia and the oxygen tube in my nose makes me not get nearly enough sleep. Nurses and doctors seem to think I’m not in much danger of getting worse.

I’m 53 and a non smoker that has neglected seeing doctors by pretending that I’m in fine shape on the outside but I’ve found out through this that I have high blood pressure.

Here’s hoping that I progress like it’s trending and I get to go home Saturday or Sunday.

I'm in the ER. Spiked another fever. Swabbing for Covid and the Flu.

Company I work for has completely let me down. Been stuck in a room with no windows and no ventilation for 3 days now. No one even called to check up on me. When I finally got a hold of someone, it was my fault and I needed to be patient.

Just told the ER doctor and he is flabbergasted. I don't want preferential treatment, but I expected to be treated like a person and not a number.
