Unless I've lost count, there's really only one more version that qualifies. In the original 1937 film they were actors rather than musicians.

Alas, Jaymann chooses to leave out the details of the particular categories in play. So I read that one as starring "A singer or songwriter," in which case Grease fits. If the category was instead supposed to be movies about a singer or songwriter character, then obviously it does not.

FWIW, I'd prefer the full details of the categories be included so as to avoid such confusion but it's not up to me.

I can't see how that one could really be viewed the other way, but clearly you and the judge agreed on it.
I've never once seen a 'staring a' - and then that persons profession before, not once....

I don't know why I keep throwing this movie out there, it struck a chord in me that made it stick in my memory, but nobody else's. I'll probably keep doing it tho.
