Nipples are at half mast on the Batsuit today.

But all teasing aside, he did make some damn good films in his career and shouldn't be remembered for what he did to the Batman franchise. They may not have been all critically acclaimed, but films like The Lost Boys and Falling Down are still entertaining as hell.

:D

I was going to ask if there would be nipples on the coffin. I hope that's not his legacy, but it's what I first associate with his name. RIP good sir.

He did a low budget horror film that wasn't really well received, but that I still loved, called Blood Creek. He got some top name actors for it too, I remember; including Michael Fassbender and Henry Cavill.

It's Nazis and the supernatural. I think that formula works no matter what, though.

RIP . I enjoyed his movies. I also first thought the race driver had died. I know he is in bad shape himself.

I should update my avatar to honor him. Oh wait. Shame he made some stuff that I will never forget. Lost Boys was such a huge deal when that came out.
Capitalism tries for a delicate balance: It attempts to work things out so that everyone gets just enough stuff to keep them from getting violent and trying to take other people’s stuff.

Yeah, it really was. Both the movie and the soundtrack.

RIP. I enjoyed nearly all his movies. I'll have to fire up the Rifftrax version of Batman & Robin in his honor.

Also, that Digital Short is gold. The mash up of movies there is fantastic.

I carried a burning hatred for Joel Schumacher in my heart for years because of his Batman involvement. Tim Burton's Batman movies were sacred to me in my teen years. As I got older, I came to realize that his body of work was far greater than his Batman movies. And in the end, what did it really matter? It was a franchise that was going to be reborn again and again by various directors anyway. Now I look back at them as the campy pieces of silliness they were, and you have to admit the stunt casting for those films may never be equaled again.

One film of his that is often overlooked that I particularly loved was 8mm with Nic Cage. Joaquin Phoenix, James Gandolfini, Catherine Keener - some big names in there, super creepy premise. RIP good sir, and no hard feelings.
