Chris Hemsworth to Play Hulk Hogan

As impressive as Chris Hemsworth's muscles are in most of the MCU movies (Avengers: Endgame notwithstanding), fans haven't seen anything yet. According to Hemsworth himself, he's working on bulking up more than ever before as he prepares to play the part of pro wrestler Hulk Hogan.

Hemsworth discussed his upcoming role in the upcoming Hogan biopic with Total Film (via ComicBook.com), describing the gig as "insanely physical."

"This movie is going to be a really fun project," Hemsworth said. "As you can imagine, the preparation for the role will be insanely physical. I will have to put on more size than I ever have before, even more than I put on for Thor. There is the accent as well as the physicality and the attitude."

Yes, but apparently it was defeated as they are moving forward with the movie anyway.

There was a time when this seemed to be a story worth telling. After all the revelations about his mistakes and personal life, I'm not sure that's any longer the case. Not that films about flawed people aren't worthwhile. But I hope hope it's reflective rather than purely tongue-in-cheek. I don't trust that it will be.

But I'm 99% sure it will be a better time just to re-watch The Wrestler.

I can't think of any known actor who could pull off Andre. About the only celebrity with almost the correct size is The Big Show. But even he is smaller and his voice and look doesn't come close to Andre's

Maybe Ryan Reynolds as Piper since he has the mouth and attitude for it.

For Andre maybe Nathan Jones or Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson.

Paul Wight, aka The Big Show. WCW even billed him as the son of Andre the Giant when he debuted. Done and done.
