By the way, what's the attitude towards hotlinking images in these threads? Still a no? I've probably violated that a number of times with so many image hosting services moving to paid-only.

When linking an image, I always upload to imgur.com to avoid unduly leeching anyone's bandwidth. It's free and also conveniently provides the link in BBCode, which eases the process of posting here (though I often edit it to use bigimg tags instead, so as not to post overly gigantic images).
