The Running Man

Time and tide melt the snowman.

There are worlds out there where the sky is burning, where the sea's asleep and the rivers dream, people made of smoke and cities made of song. Somewhere there's danger, somewhere there's injustice and somewhere else the tea is getting cold. Come on, Ace, we've got work to do.

I don't recall one myself. Then again, perhaps we're forgetting the epic chain-saw battle scene that took place within wheelbarrows?

Actually, I think Superman may be a better fit, with the earthquakes that erupt across California and result in the death of Lois Lane (necessitating his Earth-rewinding manoeuvre so as to undo everything).

Yeah, in hindsight I think you're probably correct. I was focused upon the idea of a disaster and overlooked the natural aspect. So I'll switch my answer to something a wee bit more apropos.
"Good intentions will always be pleaded for every assumption of authority. It is hardly too strong to say that the Constitution was made to guard the people against the dangers of good intentions. The Wizard of Oz

The Tornado of course being the natural disaster.

Disney release a sequel in the 80s called Return to Oz. It was terrible. It still is terrible.
You can watch it on Disney+ if you want. I don't recommend it. It scarred my childhood, there is still a chance it might scar your adulthood.

Dunno if it's what you were looking for, but FWIW I revised my answer above.
