There is a TON of MLB baseball on, looking forward to watching as much as I can!!! Guess I'll root for the Cubs in their game since they aren't playing the Dodgers and maybe the Padres as well, they are fun to watch.

Watched 2 pitches in the locker room at work. Acuna Jr. quite literally screwed himself into the ground swinging and missing a pitch from Bauer. The next pitch he flared a single out into left. Yummy baseball.

I guess they are down to celebrating a wild card game series like it's a WS, that's about what they are worth.

Coming from someone who likes the 1 game Wild Card game idea, I completely agree. I'll be far more upset if the Cubs get swept for losing 2 games in a row today than I was when the Cubs lost the Wild Card game to the Rockies a couple of years ago. The Cubs led the NL Central wire-to-wire (I think). They deserve better than a best of 3.

If they do keep the expanded playoff idea going forward, I really hope they make the first round best of 5.

It is kind of weird that while I don't *totally* love the one-game play in, the best of 3 format bothers me more. Part of it is that I do like having a reward for winning your division, while the best of 3 seems divorced from any considerations like that. And it's short enough to be frustratingly random, but long enough to drag things out unnecessarily.

I think division winners shouldn't have to play the Wild Card games, it's stupid. They can play in the DS's as usual.

Not gonna happen. Mainly because they postponed the game until tomorrow to avoid rain delays.

They had Lirirano mic'd up while he was in the field in the Sox/A's game. Immediately Eloy drove one into the gap and when Lirirano gobbled it up and turned to throw he shouted, "Damn, he can FUCKING run!" as Eloy was pulling into second. It was beautiful.
