Yeah, we adopted her from Great Lakes Pigeon Rescue a couple of months after Barry died. She's not as social as Barry was, but we're working on that. It just takes time.

Are those eyes really that orange, or is it an artifact of Fall photography? That's a very arresting photo!

I grew up with an "odd-eyed white" (white fur with one green and one blue eye), so I always notice cat eyes.

I grew up with an "odd-eyed white" (white fur with one green and one blue eye), so I always notice cat eyes.

When he was a kitten, his eyes were blood orange. While he was on GS, they faded to yellow-green. And now that he's off the drug, they've returned to a golden color with a green tinge. The lighting in that photo makes them look more orange than they are, but the tint is real. It's not unusual for a cat's eyes to change color as it ages, but I think the GS had something to do with it.

He likes his walks. He doesn't go out without the harness, so he actually asks for his Kitty Holster when he wants out. It makes him feel secure, like a thunder shirt on a dog.
