Anyone should be allowed to serve and support their country if they are mentally and physically able to. Its a black mark on us as a nation when in the 21st century we still discriminate based on out dated ideas and upbringings from older generations. If there comes a draft just how many 'trans' and gay will suddenly be proclaimed? Allow people the dignity to be human and stop all the nonsensical bs.

As for the fortitude or ability to soldier? ... Sacred Band of Thebes . Read your history.
