Woman says Al Franken inappropriately touched her in 2010
Lindsay Menz, a 33-year-old woman who now lives in Frisco, Texas, reached out to CNN on Thursday hours after Tweeden made her story public. Menz said she wanted to share an "uncomfortable" interaction that left her feeling "gross."

According to Menz, she attended the Minnesota State Fair with her husband and father in the summer of 2010, almost two years after Franken was elected to the Senate. Her father's small business was sponsoring a local radio booth, and she spent the day meeting various elected officials, political candidates and celebrities and taking photos with them as they stopped by the booth.

When Franken walked in, Menz and her husband, who also spoke with CNN, said they recognized him right away. Menz said she had a brief and cordial exchange with the senator.

Then, as her husband held up her phone and got ready to snap a photo of the two of them, Franken "pulled me in really close, like awkward close, and as my husband took the picture, he put his hand full-fledged on my rear," Menz said. "It was wrapped tightly around my butt cheek."

I'm shocked, shocked to see that men will be men. First they came for the white man and nobody cared. Now they're after all of us. Soon we'll all be joining the dog at the vet to have our bits snipped. :ninja: Or maybe they'll do it in the delivery room. Only way to be absolutely sure, label us all predators on our birth certificates so we can't purchase firearms either.

It's actually a little impressive how you manage to cram that much blatant racism and misogyny into one short post.

At one time being respectful to other people, including those of the opposite gender, was called manners. You didn't celebrate being rude and unmannered -- you shunned and shamed them.

Only in public, as long as the blinds were closed it was legal to beat entire household and rape your wife. And as long as they were the right people.

To me, the sad thing isn't what em2 says. That's a wholly expected pattern of behavior from him.

The sad thing is that an alarming number of Americans - more than I ever would have expected - seem to share em2's neanderthalish view that sexual harassment is perfectly acceptable behavior because it's just "men being men". Even going so far as to claim "oppression" because they can't get away with it consequence-free anymore.

I guess I kinda thought we (the collective we) were better than that.

So not actually any sex trafficking, just soliciting a minor and child porn. Another perv customer gets caught. Good but title is very misleading.

I had just been thinking about it and on cue a guy writes an article about what a rockstar HRC could have been had she played the cards differently.

https://pjmedia.com/davidsteinberg/hill ... decisions/
Had Hillary ever made the moral decision to drop Bill at any point, who knows where she would be now? She had the drive to never give up; Trump did complement her on that quality at the close of one 2016 debate. She might have found a different husband who made her popular feminism seem credible. She could have remained single, and won praise from her Leftist base for making it on her own.

Making a different decision at any number of fate’s dice throws might have led her to something approaching an authentic life: to really be who she portrayed herself as. She could have avoided each of her husband's scandals, each of his alleged scores of abuses.

Last Week Tonight has had a semi-recurring segment playing sexual banter between Charlie Rose and the female co-hosts of the CBS morning show that he has been on. So....probably not all playful banter, then.

I always thought it was pretty easy - treat women as equals and don't sexually harass or assault anyone. I've always found that to be a pretty easy bar to clear, but maybe it's more challenging for some than I thought.

I just want to pitch in here, and I know it's been said, but all you need to do is pretend women aren't things. When you pretend enough, it'll get easier and easier to accept them as people.

Avoiding sexual harassment until then is as simple as this:
  • Look, but don't stare
  • Hands to yourself
  • Talk about work and the weather
  • If you're on neutral or better terms with a woman, it's okay to ask them out socially
    • If she proposes to see your penis, that's your call, use your big-boy judgement
    • Only after at least two social interactions that involve mouth-to-mouth kissing should you propose she see your penis.
    • No always means no, regardless of what is happening or how far undressed you've both gotten. It might even mean 'No' mid-coitus
    • The only exception to this rule is if you've agreed beforehand on a predetermined safe word that acts in replacement of "No"
  • If you have to force, drug, sneak, or coerce a woman to get what you're after, you can expect to be charged with sexual assault.

Comments from a former Alabama police officer regarding Roy Moore:
A retired Alabama police officer told MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell on Tuesday that she had to keep an eye on Alabama Republican Senate candidate Roy Moore in the 1980s at local high school football games because he would regularly harass the team’s teenage cheerleaders.

Faye Gary, who for 37 years was an officer at the Gadsden Police Department, explained to Mitchell that Moore’s reputation for pursuing underage girls was widely known throughout the community.

“We were also told to watch him at the ballgames, and make sure that he didn’t, you know, hang around with the cheerleaders,” said Gary.
