Yelling continues to be the modern form of political discussion. Isn't Nancy on their side?

Yelling has always been common. Read about some of the debates in the early 1900s or late 1800s. Or look at the British Parliament.

I do find it hilarious that this is some sort of revelation and/or modern failure, that people opposed to things tend to shout.

This is not new. Politics is not less civilized today than it was in the "good old days", nor were people "back then" more likely to sit around carefully considering ideas they were opposed to, because...reasons.

Shouting it down is actually a pretty good response to blatant bullshit or weaselry.

It's only a problem when the shoutee is seriously and sincerely trying to engage.

Oops...
Workers in Moscow have cut out part of a new monument to a Russian creator of the world famous AK-47 assault rifle because a weapon depicted on the statue was actually a German-designed firearm.

Mikhail Kalashnikov's monument was opened this week to great fanfare by government officials and members of the Russian Orthodox Church.

But arms experts said a drawing on the base of the statue showed the StG 44 rifle used by the Nazis during WWII.

The man is B.D., the most conservative of Doonesbury's stable of characters.

He's less of a caricature than he once was, but presumably he's happy to see the kid rejecting feminism.

Some papers snip the first two pages of Sunday comics. The bottom six can be read as standalone for those poor sap readers.

I took the gender identity thing to be a throw-away joke about "college kids these days" rather than being tied to the joke contrasting the feminist and anti-feminist definitions of feminism.

Can you imagine taking a red pen to any Q and A given by the POTUS and pretending it is an essay?

You'd also have to go back and get the transcripts for his alter egos, John Miller or John Barron.

The fact that folks voted in a guy who pretended to be someone else more than once in order to get good press is just one of the many endearing things about our country.

...did I say endearing? I meant stupid.
