Fibrous tissue has no nerves to speak of, so you would have a lot more sensory issues that anyone has yet implied. Also fibrous scar tissue contracts with time, so if your entire glans is covered by it, you are going to have a hell of a time getting that thing to swell like it's supposed to.

Spoiler:

Oh boy.

I am trained in two methods, the Mogen and the Gomko. I greatly prefer the Mogen. I am not trained in the "Plasti-bell", so will not cover that here.
I numb the base of the penis using injectable xylocaine.
Both the Mogen and Gomko methods start off the same, wherein you take two small trochanters to grip the edges of the foreskin, while you use another tiny trochanter to slip between the foreskin and head of the penis. Using a gentle opening motion with the trochanter, you dehisce the foreskin from the head of the penis. Sometimes this is super easy, sometimes it is not. After you have loosened the foreskin, you need to push it back to ensure there are no anatomical problems with the head of the penis. I prefer to make a small crimp and cut to make pushing back easier, and I feel this causes less swelling afterwards than just stretching and pushing back alone. Here things diverge: For the Mogen technique you "simply" slide the extra foreskin into a flat Mogan Clamp so that the head of the penis is pinned below it, and the extra foreskin is protruding from the clamp. (Hold up your two fingers in the "Peace" position and you are getting the right idea for the clamp). Lock the clamp, run a scalpel down the foreskin side, remove the clamp and you are done. For the Gomko, you need to slide a little metal "bell" onto the head of the penis, and pull the extra foreskin up over this bell. Then you have to fit the bell into a contraption that makes the whole thing look like a thumbscrew device. After you tighten that down, you use a scalpel to slice off the foreskin from the base of the "bell". Remove your device and that's it.
I despise the Gomko. It is a struggle to get the foreskin over the bell and keep it in place evenly while you hook the bell into the contraption. Also you can slice of the foreskin various degrees of crooked or even jaggedly. The only thing it has going for it, to me, is the head of the penis is safe from scalpel trauma. The Mogen clamp is much easier, quicker, gives a perfectly even cut and there is less swelling since it takes much less time. The downside is that you can conceivably trap the tip of the penis in the clamp. I've done so many that never even feels like a concern to me, though when I have to teach people it makes them very nervous.
Spoiler:
I am not familiar with the traditional "Larry, Curley and Moyel" technique, but I suspect there is a lot of Nyuck-Nyucking and slapsdick. :P

typo. but i found it... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mohel#Functions
Under Jewish law, a mohel must draw blood from the circumcision wound. Most mohels do it by hand with a suction device, but some Orthodox groups use their mouth to draw blood after cutting the foreskin. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention issued a warning in 2012 about the health implications of this practice, citing 11 cases of neonatal HSV and two recorded fatalities. A 2013 review of cases of neonatal HSV infections in Israel identified ritual circumcision as the source of HSV-1 transmission in 31.8% of the cases.

Better yet, do you?
I'm moderately weirded out about the amount of interest you have in my penis. :D

Anyway, Freyland covered it well and I've already gone way, way past what most people here want to know about my junk.
You're weirded out that we are talking about your junk when you used your junk as evidence that circumcisions are bad, which is the topic at hand. It's not *my* interest in your junk that is weirding you out.

And on a completely neutral approach, 90% of orgasm dysfunction is psychological, with another 9% being chemical. It should be relatively easy to determine if there are physical reasons for your issue. A doctor shouldn't have to "guess".

If you are dissatisfied with your sexual experiences, I recommend you see a specialist, or get a second (or third) opinion. I mean this will all sincerity and completely separate from the topic at hand. The chances that your situation is fixable are very high, barring serious injury (that again, should be readily identifiable if that's the situation. i.e. you probably wouldn't have needed to consult a doctor in the first place).

Dead serious. Sex is too awesome to go through life being disappointed in it. Find someone willing to work with you, not shrug their shoulders and pass the buck.

Not being facetious or condescending or critical. Genuine concern. I wouldn't trust your doctor's opinion on this for a minute. Research does not back him up.

We can do this all day. You accused me of being disingenuous, but the truth is everything you write is slanted away from reality to provide support for your opinion, which is simply that, an opinion, and one not based on good science.

The removal of the foreskin does not cause a loss of sexual pleasure due to the glans being exposed and hardening due to rubbing against clothing, which is another one of your supposed "facts". This has been confirmed through multiple studies, one of which is listed in the Science vs. link posted earlier. Feel free to listen to it.

I'm not going to argue with you about this any more. You're wrong, history says your wrong, and current science says your wrong. Future history...well, hopefully I'll be dead long before future history has an opinion on any of this. See you then.

I believe so as well, though some people - I've heard - find the natural penis repellent and prefer the appearance of a surgically altered one. I've not once encountered this first-hand, though. No screams of horror, no refusals of sex, no grimacing during oral. A couple even found it fascinating and enjoyed playing with it. Fun fact, a little gentle pressure and it can inflate like a tiny balloon.

I merely expressed my opinion that I wished I hadn't been and you asked why. I answered and in retrospect shared more than I really want to. I don't want to go into even more detail and so tried to deflect it with a joke.

I'm not claiming that it's necessarily bad. I just think it's unnecessary. I wouldn't vote to outlaw it, but I do think that as time goes on it will be seen as another weird practice like putting mittens on children to keep them from masturbating.

Dutch courts say Pastafarianism is not a religion, rule against colander headgear
Officials in Nijmegen were right to refuse to allow a woman to use a passport photograph in which she is wearing a colander on her head, the Council of State ruled on Wednesday.

Pastafarianism is not a religion and therefore practitioners cannot wear kitchen equipment in official photographs, the council said.
B.S.! It's persecution to say that kitchen equipment can't be used to express your religious beliefs.

Televangelist Pat Robertson has commanded Hurricane Florence to stay away from land.

In particular, Robertson said at a Monday prayer service, he doesn’t want what is now a Category 4 hurricane still at sea to “hurt” Regent University and the Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN) — both founded by Robertson in the Virginia Beach area.

“We declare in the name of the Lord that you shall go no farther, that you will do no damage in this area,” said the 88-year-old host of “The 700 Club” on CBN. “We declare a shield of protection all over the Tidewater (in Virginia) and ... over those innocent people in the path of this hurricane. In Jesus’ holy name, be out to sea!”

Robertson told his congregation that his prayers have stopped a hurricane before.
...
On Monday, Robertson predicted to those who prayed with him from church pews at CBN that “we will live to mark this day and say, ‘I remember, I was there when we saw that Hurricane Florence averted.’”

Same sex marriage is still unrecognized in Romania thanks to civil laws. It was an amendment to their constitution ensuring that that law would never change that failed. That scumbag Kim Davis even went over there with some American conservative scumbags to try to drum up support for homophobia.

An old, dear friend just posted an anecdote on Facebook about how he got pulled over for speeding.

When the cop asked him if he knew why he got pulled over, he confessed that he he knew it was because he was driving too fast. He then told the cop that it was because he was trying to get to a church meeting on time. (I have no doubt that this was true.)

The cop decided just to give him a warning, and my friend presented this on Facebook as an example of God's grace. Numerous FB friends chimed in on the glory of God and how this was proof of it.

This was in south Alabama, BTW, where I'm sure white Christian privilege is a thing of the past and everyone is equal.

Almost one third of the Dead Sea Scrolls on display at the Museum of the Bible were fakes:
The Museum of the Bible says five of its Dead Sea Scrolls are fraudulent and will no longer be on display. The Washington, D.C., museum said an independent analysis found characteristics of the five scrolls were "inconsistent with ancient origin and therefore will no longer be displayed at the museum."

"Though we had hoped the testing would render different results, this is an opportunity to educate the public on the importance of verifying the authenticity of rare biblical artifacts, the elaborate testing process undertaken and our commitment to transparency," Jeffrey Kloha, the museum's chief curatorial officer, said in a statement.

The Dead Sea Scrolls are a collection of 2,000-year-old texts, including early copies of the Hebrew Bible, discovered in caves in the Judean Desert in the 1940s and 50s. While the spectacular find continues to be studied by archaeologists, some forgeries have made their way into the antiquities market.

The Museum of the Bible says it had the independent testing done on 16 Dead Sea Scrolls in its collection.
More information on what fakes are (because I was curious):
Tigchelaar believes that some of the scroll fragments that have recently appeared are actually modern-day forgeries, while others are not from Qumran, but rather other caves in the Judean Desert, possibly ones that haven't been discovered by archaeologists.

"I think what we have here is a mix of material that is authentic and of material that are forgeries," Tigchelaar told Live Science.

One of his arguments supporting the forgery claim is that of the 70 fragments that have appeared only one or two seem to be part of the 900 manuscripts found in the Qumran caves. To have so many scroll fragments that are not part of the other manuscripts found at Qumran is "statistically impossible," Tigchelaar said. [25 New 'Dead Sea Scrolls' Revealed]

Additionally, Tigchelaar has found that most of the 70 new scroll fragments are from books of the Hebrew Bible, whereas the manuscripts found at Qumran contain a wider mix of texts, including calendars, community rules and apocryphal (noncanonical) texts.

Some of the new scroll fragments also contain oddities in their writing, such as small letters that appear to be crammed in at the edge of fragments (a fragment is supposed to be part of a manuscript that fell apart), Tigchelaar and other scholars have found.

Some of the scrolls may be authentic but not from Qumran

Ireland votes 'yes' to remove blasphemy from the Constitution
Some 951,650 people voted 'yes' in the referendum that featured alongside the Presidential Election on Friday, making up 65 per cent of the total valid votes (1,467,458).

The move was welcomed by leading figures earlier in the day, after an exit poll conducted by RTÉ and Red C showed some 71.1pc of participants voted to remove the term from the Constitution.

Human rights organisation Amnesty Ireland described the move as "significant" for the status of human rights and freedom in Ireland.

Well, I entirely agree.
It's like using a preist to honor the dead.

But he sure isn't a priest, being the rabbi of a synagogue.

I guess I'm just pointing out that, by dropping their old label of 'Hebrew Christian' in wanting to keep their Jewish cultural identity, they use the word Rabbi.
Because they think Jesus was the messiah, they don't think that makes them not Jewish...
To my ear, it's all absurd.... but I also have a great deal of trouble when people interchange 'belief' Jewish vs. 'racial' Jewish.

But to your point, it was a totally Trump era dick-move, and rude and disrespectful and to put it mildly: offensive.
