Well, Trump did it. He stepped into North Korea and had his photo op with Kim Jong Un.

What lovely news to wake up to on a Sunday morning.

It is a bit distressing to realize that North Korea is more able to be reasoned with than democrats.

So, the US is now further legitimizing brutal dictators on the world stage in exchange for a photo opp and some vague promises that we might keep taking at some unspecified point in the future. (“I pinky swear this will be different than last time, Donald!”).

This after "joking" about getting rid of journalists with a guy who literally has journalists that he doesn't like killed, and playing footsie with MBS at G20 all week. And judging from the MAGA reaction I’m seeing on social media this morning, this is all a good thing?

Oh, how quickly the frothing and wailing over the “Obama Apology Tour” has been tossed down the memory hole.

Kim obviously wants to keep his new BFF in office, and will sign something that *looks like* denuclearization in order to make that happen. Trump will have no trouble selling it to the MAGA hats, who aren't real big on substance. The big question is what Trump will give up in return for the election boost. Limited sanctions relief would not be so heinous. A peace treaty that hangs SK and Japan out to dry would be.

I wish someone could explain to him that "liberal democracy" is not the same thing as liberal Democrats, but that's not the kind of concept he could ever grasp.

They should let Jared and Donald broker a peace treaty between North Korea and Narnia. Keep them busy until 2021.

I’m not even sure what the hell that has to do with Acosta beyond em2 having some weird sexual obsession with the man or something. :?

Speaking of unhealthy obsessions, Trump is also obsessed with Obama and sees this as his chance to get a Nobel. Dumbass doesn’t realize the thinking part of the world fucking hates him and would rather give him the shaft.

Also, every picture of Kim in his suit reminds me of a meeple.

Acosta was accused of whacking a Trump spokeswoman's arm when she reached for his mic.

Sarah Sanders tweeted out sped-up footage to "prove" it.

Interpreting conservative memes is simple, really.

Waaaaaaahhhhh! I WANT MY TANKS AND PLANES!

Trump asks for military tanks on the Mall as part of grandiose July Fourth event

I do love a Fourth of July celebration but never thought we needed to tart it up to look like something out of North Korea or Russia...

They should have the new Diplomat in Chief, Ivanka, riding on an Abrams as it tears up the streets.
