I started hating the "bro" thing back on Smallville when Aquaman kept calling Clark "brah". Although I may have been hating it before that. But that pretty much cemented my hate. Two minutes, every day.
There is no hug button. Sad!

I am pretty sure that the issue isn't the use of the word "bro" or "brah" in casual daily usage - but rather the use of the term "Bro" to describe a particular class of douche canoe male, who may or may not use the word bro or brah all the time.
And in banks across the world
Christians, Moslems, Hindus, Jews
And every other race, creed, colour, tint or hue
Get down on their knees and pray
The raccoon and the groundhog neatly
Make up bags of change
But the monkey in the corner
Well he's slowly drifting out of range

True, but it almost certainly sprung from the usage killbot is referencing.

As performed by Senator Kid Rock.

I'm just going to assume that "capital hill" is deliberate take on the relationship between wealth and politcal power.

I'm with you!

I don't care about bro as a generic gender term. I might even like it in a way as a brief fad if it hadn't initial meant a very specific kind of young frat boy idiot to me.

Oh, I saw a ton of Bernie Bros during the campaign.

Think mansplainer, not frat boy: the kind of liberal male arguing that "REAL feminism/REAL equality" somehow means ignoring gender and race issues entirely.

It's worth quite a bit. Thank you.

If it helps, the word I was thinking of had no vowels.

Sorry, the frat boy usage has been cemented in my mind. I understand what you mean when you say Bernie Bro and it has great alliteration to recommend it but it feels like calling Deadheads Juggelos just because they have a very vague connection.

But "bro" is evolving off-campus. A "Bernie bro" was a thing in 2016 as much as a "Tech bro" is a thing now.

Maybe a good definition of "____ bro" would be "casually (incl. unconsciously) male supremacist in the ____ field."

Maybe they can rebrand as Bernouts in order to dump that bro baggage.
