I suspect you're reading too much into the word "they" in this case, and he was actually speaking in general terms rather than just this specific case. The question of whether a lethal dose of nerve agent might be misdiagnosed as death due to natural causes if the circumstances weren't so obviously suspicious seems like a legitimate concern, even if it was articulated poorly.

I know I'd be very curious about postmortem toxicology results if, say, Robert Mueller had a fatal heart attack or stroke any time soon.
