To paraphrase Marsellus, I'd say we're pretty f*@king far from ok.

I get that people are scrutinizing the creation of a t-shirt based on what Joe Biden said in 1981. But after 2+ years of the degenerate currently in office - and truly, he is a degenerate - it kinda feels like maybe the t-shirt thing isn't something to focus on. I'm also clearly biased because I'm in the tank for Senator Harris, but I'm having a hard time getting fired up over any of the candidates.

If Biden can’t defend his record on race this early in the primary, how long do we hold his hand and hope that he won’t dramatically gaffe his way to defeat? He has already stumbled on that -twice- this week.

Biden is a historically weak campaigner. He HAS to be tested, especially if he’s the front runner.

I agree, he hasn’t handled it well. That doesn’t mean I agree that Harris handled things well either. Our current administration has soured my taste for political theatrics.

Yeah, I just did some looking. The images I see are very clearly a separate photo image overlayed on a (wrinkled) t-shirt image.

EDIT: This is the new normal. I remember being surprised when "She Was Warned... Nevertheless, She Persisted" T-shirts were touted 12 hours after McConnell made that comment.

OK, that's different then. No shame in an underdog campaign seizing the moment to raise some honest bucks. I read one post-debate poll that has her tied with Warren for 3rd place now, and nearly all of that came from former Biden supporters. The Globe opined that it's shaping up to be a two-way race between Warren and Harris; Biden and Sanders just don't know that they're dead yet.

If the Democrats nominate a centrist, white, Establishment boomer, they learned nothing from 2016 and will surely lose again. Biden's only advantage over Clinton is his likeability, and that can be easily demolished. He's a hugger, fer cryin out loud. Nobody likes huggers.

Biden has a lot of advantages over Clinton. We have a lot worse issues than an unfair criticism of Biden — he’s walked a long road fighting for equal rights — or getting campaign t-shirts ready after an opponent’s slip. 24 hours and you can have oodles of any custom t-shirts made.

Let’s keep in mind the big picture: beating Trump. Democrats need to reach out to persuadable (not deplorable) voters and keep progressive voters engaged. Change is going to require persuading America to undo the damage caused by Trump here and abroad.

Clearly Biden has some cred when it comes to civil rights, but he completely blew that exchange with Harris. He is still maintaining that his push for a bill that wouldn’t allow the federal government to force bussing was the correct position. THAT IS INSANE! If left up solely to state governments, there would probably still be states with completely segregated schools. The federal government must be the enforcer of civil rights when states are fighting against them.
