This is what happens when you have no central leadership. 50 different governors running around doing their own thing. So we'll have 50 different states of this virus being dealt with in 50 different ways with 50 different results. It's going to be a complete disaster.

WHO says US 'could' be next major epicenter. I like that they are soft-peddling it but I would place a bet on 'will' be next epicenter.

If anyone watched Governor Cuomo's ~45 minute daily update today and thought, "Meh, that's a NYC problem", then I don't think anything else will convince them otherwise.

NJ is now #2 with hospital cases, but I'm betting Louisianan going to be rocketing up the rankings based on what I'm seeing.

why is that the video that supports the reported Trump quote ?

is it just me, or is that a video where Trump is saying you can't compare our data to 1918 data, etc etc - nothing about 'two way street'....

FDA Suspends Routine Food Inspections Amid Coronavirus Pandemic

Hahn said the FDA will continue to address critical for-cause inspections — those involving specific problems that have come to the FDA’s attention — and to respond to natural disasters, outbreaks, and other public health emergencies under its purview.

At some point I've just started figuring that there's no way Trump will get reelected, but mostly because he's going to lose a lot more people than the opposing side. Everything they're doing is raw greed at the cost of life, and without those lives they won't get their votes.

El Paso

The Fabuloso has been fiddled with, and the Clorox compromised.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers seized a shipment of cleaning supplies that were tampered with and prohibited for sale in the U.S., according to a news release.

It happened when border officers conducted a secondary inspection on a box truck entering the U.S. from Mexico on March 16 at the Bridge of the Americas in South-Central El Paso.

The driver’s shipment manifest said he was importing 168 boxes of Clorox bleach; 75 boxes of Pinol cleaner; 28 boxes of Fabuloso cleaner; 23 boxes of Pinol cleaner; nine boxes of Clorox cleaner; and 20 boxes of Adorable brand toilet paper.

But after further examination, CBP officers and National Guardsmen realized many of the bottles had no safety seals and appeared to have been tampered with.

It got edited down for some reason. Unfortunately it's just not in the video (anymore). It is just different Trump stupidity. Other reporting backs up that he said that.

Trump: It has to be a two-way street and governors need to treat us well also. "They can't say, Oh gee we should get this, we should get that.'" He's unhappy with Cuomo demanding more ventilators from the federal government.

Trump said there were only 15 cases in America and “soon” it would be down to zero.

Less than a month later, there are nearly 50,000 cases in America (that we know of) and 600 deaths.

But we’re going to open everything back up by Easter — in 19 days?

I do know that they do have some people from our mailing company working. If that violates the rules I have no idea. Otherwise there has been no pressure to get back in the office. HR hasn't even bothered to send a status update at all. You would think they would send out something every once in a while. Shrug..

In case there's any doubt left as to whether or not Trump is a gigantic POS:

Birx notes positive test rates in NY metro area are 4 to 5 times the average, citing density and travel from Asia.

Trump cuts in: "Do you blame the governor for that?

Birx ignores the question and moves on.

He has no idea that every day he provides video proof that will be handed down throughout whatever history remains that proves without a shadow of a doubt that he will be seen as one of the worst leaders in history. It is the only thing I can say with absolute certainty. That his brain is massively broken and can't process that is an injustice.

Fed intervention, "stimulus" package, and Trump saying this will all be over in 2 weeks. If I wasn't on conference calls all day I would have put some shorts on at the end of the day. Total bull trap.

More evidence that the Trump administration is absolutely incompetent and the worst. The wording of the IRS announcements on tax extensions was very narrow, and today the IRS posted a Q&A in its newsroom which is not official guidance or legal authority.

The postponement of April 15 to July 15 applies only to Federal income taxes and estimated tax payments due on that date. It was all about the headlines.
* A company with a fiscal year ending May 15? Out of luck.
* A payroll or excise tax due on April 15? Out of luck.
* A gift or estate tax due on April 15? Out of luck.
* An information return due on April 15? Out of luck.
Many accountants are back to work effectively today.

If Trump declared a natural disaster or domestic or military action, rather than a public health emergency, there would be an automatic 60 day statutory extension until May 12. But not here.
