The Biden Inauguration Thread

Post by malchior »

We're finally here! Just starting up a quick thread to untangle from the other more Trump-fueled threads.

I have some very initial hot takes. It was very good to see Clinton and Bush come to represent the continuance of our values. Anyway as a quick note I just noticed when the SCOTUS members filed in that Alito, Breyer, and Thomas don't seem to be in attendance. Curious.

Just like Jan 1 didn't suddenly erase 2020, inauguration won't end Trump/GOP fueled carnage. Lots of chickens out there looking to come home to roost.

In 4 years we do it all again. Looks like we will swing far right then far left all the time until we crack. Cant blame foreign countries not trusting us. One will do shit then the next will reverse it then the next that one and so on.

I cant stand the guy's politics and he's obviously Enabler #1 of trump, but a nod of the head in gratitude to Pence for (finally) at least making a display of functioning government by being there. TBF, it is almost literally the very least he could do.

If I was writing a satire I'd have Biden announce a pardon of Trump, stick up crossed fingers, wink and say, "Just Kidding. It ain't 12 yet."
