bios - slow to start memory check

Post by Creepy_Smell »

I have a shuttle an35 mobo. Yesterday during a reboot after the computer hanged it took a minute or so for the bios to start displaying the memory check it does. It used to quickly display the processor, then the memory and then boot. It still works but is a minute or so slower.

I haven't done anything to the bios or added any new software. Any ideas on what the issue is? My memory all still registers so dont know of its related to a stick going bad.

From what I've read I might try either updating the bios (in case it got corrupted) or clearing the cmos.

EDIT: Hmm..Guess the fear of being updated solved the issue. Today its booting normal so far. Strange since yesterday, it kept having the issue over and over. All well, at least its back to normal.
