Poor software engineers who work on these drivers. They must feel like Scotty on Star Trek.

"Mr. Scott, I need more power."
"I'm giving you all she's got cap'n!"
"Not good enough! I need more power now!"

After installing these, I can't play wmv files correctly because they look like the colors are inverted.

Whew. Glad I'm not the only one. I haven't been able to play .wmv or mpeg videos since the ATI Cat 4.9's.

Right before GG went down, someone from the forum's e-mailed me and said they were having the same problem. They indicated that they had to go back to Cat 4.5 or something to fix it.

That's insane.

I, for one, haven't reported this to ATI. Perhaps I should?

I sent my problems to them the DAY before they released the 4.10 drivers.

I have tried everything else to fix the problem - except for a full wipe and reinstall of WinXP.

It never occured to me until I was e-mailed by a former GGer that the ATI drivers could be the problem. It was after I did a search on the ATI site that I found this was a problem around the 4.3 or so drivers.

Not sure if this happens to you - but if I try to play a .wmv or mpeg video, my computer hard locks.

So yeah - report it.
