Thunderbird - Can my replies go at the top?

Post by EvilHomer3k »

I have been trying to use Thunderbird for mail. I like it but am having some trouble getting my replies to go at the top rather than at the bottom. Can this be done? If so, how?

Yes you can.
From the Tools pull down select Account settings. In the account settings dialog go to Composition & Addressing on the left, then on the right side there is a pull down with the word 'Then' in front of it, under 'Automatically quote the original.......'. Change this pull down to 'start my reply above the quote'
That should do it.

Thanks to both of you, Evilhomer for asking it, where I've been forgetting, and for crumsteel for actually having the answer. This little issue has been driving me nuts!
