Chrome started auto-refreshing tabs

Chrome started auto-refreshing tabs

Recently Chrome started to refresh tabs for me whenever I clicked on one I hadn't been to in a while and I hate it. I did a search and it looks like with version 48, they turned on a new flag by default. You can read about it a bit here on SuperUser. I followed the steps to fix it and it appears to work. Seems like something that should be available to set under the settings menu rather than through the flags. :?
