Re: magic mouse software..1 mouse multiplatform and monitor
i've used this at work for the past five years - i have a Mac as the host and a Linux machine as the server (sometimes a Windows machine as another server). when it works, it's magical and miraculous and a huge productivity & convenience boost. however, there was a time recently when the server would crash when you copied a large block of text on the OSX server and attempt to paste it in the Linux client - this bug was not fixed for almost a year. as it is, the client still crashes about twice a week (usually due to copy/paste issues between machines). you can just restart it again, but it is annoying. i have a Logitech trackball and the scroll ring does not register on the client if you use the GUI - you have to launch the client from the command line with an argument to reduce the scroll 'tick' threshold. again, not a deal-breaker, but also annoying, if to a lesser degree than the crashing.
you can still get the program for free if you clone their github and compile the software yourself.
