$30 refund for GeForce GTX 970 (lawsuit settlement)

Post by Jag »

The time has almost come for Nvidia to pay the piper, and you're the piper, provided you live in the U.S. and purchased a GeForce GTX 970 graphics card sometime between September 1, 2014 and August 24, 2016. If so, you're entitled to a $30 refund per card as part of a proposed settlement agreement.
Deadline is TOMORROW. US only.

Newegg never got back to me with details after their initial email in August. It looks like I need to get my serial number tonight to submit the claim. I need my $30!!!

It's actually pretty easy and you can get one of the numbers directly through the NVIDIA control panel. There's instructions on how to do so as you're submitting the form. Thanks for the reminder Jag.
Maybe next year, maybe no go

That's how I got my number, using the control panel.

I can't even get past the link from the settlement email. I forget what it says, but I can't file the claim even if I wanted to.

I opened the link provided by Jag above and 5 minutes later had a claim number. I don't understand what you're doing.

Ditto. I was actually pleasantly surprised by how straightforward the process was (and thanks again for the heads-up, Jag).

I tried it on Oct 7 when I got the email and a few more times weeks later. Always had issues. Tried once more tonight, and it finally let me in. Whenever I inputted the claim # it would give me some error. Tonight it didn't. Go figure.
