They have added a website to use solid color to see if you have any bad pixels in your display. Used to be software only but its handy to just choose the color and take a look.

Re: Dead Pixel Buddy
Yay I'm clean!
But seriously, are dead pixels still a thing?
Until Daehawk posted this, the thought had not occurred to me to check.
I bought this monitor 4 or 5 years ago, and I think I gave it a good once-over then. But the last three monitors I've bought have not had a single dead pixel (as far as I know).
The last monitor I had that finally displayed a couple of them was an eMachines 19" monitor that I bought new in '06. And for years, even that cheap thing was dead-pixel-free. I shouldn't call it a cheap thing. LCD's were relatively a new thing, and IIRC, I paid $400 for it.
Other than that though, all my other monitors have never given me any problem. I guess it's just something I don't worry about these days.

Re: Dead Pixel Buddy
I don't want to know. If it finds a dead pixel, then I'll notice it all the time. Right now I don't think I have any...but then again I don't see any, so it doesn't bother me
