I wanna play Planet Coaster with the recommended specs but..
I have an I5 4570 and the recommended CPU is an I7 4770 which works out to be a.6 percent increase. Matter or not? Thanks in advance for any advice.

That is a quad core and above 3.0 Ghz so I would think you would be ok.Lorini wrote:I have an I5 4570 and the recommended CPU is an I7 4770 which works out to be a.6 percent increase. Matter or not? Thanks in advance for any advice.

Thanks. Someone with the same rig as I have is getting 45-60 fps with five rides so hopefully I can play it somewhat. I am coming up on the third year of this rig and I know I need to upgrade it but I don't want to spend the money. Planet Coaster is the first game where it doesn't meet the recommended requirements (I have a 970 as well so I'll have to upgrade that too). I knew this day was coming was just hoping it'd wait just a little while longer.....

I would think that system would play everything maxed. mine does and some of it is 6 years old and I have a worse video card. I think with these coaster games it comes down to video and ram.

I have an i5 4430 and Planet Coaster is fine. My sandbox park, which gets close to 5,000 visitors, slows down a bit, but it's still perfectly playable.

My experience is when you are at the 'minimum' specs is when you should worry. Being near the 'recommended' specs is pretty damn good actually. Plus, depending on the game developer, recommended specs may involve graphical settings, such as AA, that you wouldn't mind turning down or off, boosting performance even further. And recommended might be for framerate like 60fps when maybe you'd be happy with 45fps. So I bet the game would run fine for you.
