Seeing the files in my phone on my pc?

Post by em2nought »

My old Rugby android smart phone file folders showed up on my pc whenever i connected the charging cable to my pc which was great. Not so my new android Samsung J3V apparently? Do I need an app for this now? Thanks in advance.

There should be a setting that comes up when you plug it in, allowing you to switch from "charging only" mode to exploring files, transferring pictures, etc.

Yep. On my tablet it comes up in my notifications as 'you are connected in installer mode.' Touch that, and I have the option to switch to other modes, one of which (media sync) is for direct file access.

I haven't done it on my phone, as I haven't ever had the need.
