I just noticed my monitor in Device Manager says Generic PnP. In the Nvidia control panel it says Ancor Commic somethingorother. Its an ASUS and has a model number. Seems it would all work better if my PC knew the exact monitor I use. Do monitors still use drivers? Or what or how would I change it? In Nvidia's stuff I dont see a way to change it.
EDIT: Its right under control panel display but not control panel device driver.
EDIT2: NM found a longer discription and its ancor communication corp Asus MX299Q
