Octopus Overlords

I don't know that I really expect an answer to this. For the past few months, my gmail client has been exceptionally slow on my laptop. As in old school dial up levels of slow. Deleting unwanted messages can take around a full minute. Just really odd. I don't have any such problems using it through my phone, and while my laptop isn't the latest and greatest, it generally runs fine, and you would think for something that's mostly just text it wouldn't have problems.

Any ideas?

Straight up Gmail or with Inbox? I have "issues" with the latter at times on our older Win7 machine.

Try a different browser?
