When I try to change to a lower resolution, the display shrinks

Post by Darrell999 » Wed Dec 26, 2018 12:20 pm

My native resolution is 4k. It used to be that I could change resolutions and keep the screen size.

But for some reason, now when I try to go down to 1920x1080, the whole screen shrinks, including the taskbar.

Can anyone tell me how to go back to the way it was (no shrinking)? Thanks!

Actually, I found out what it was. If anyone else ever has this problem, here's the scoop:
I have an Alienware laptop with Nvidia 970m, but it also has Intel graphics.
I found the Intel HD Graphics Control Panel, and I changed "maintain display scaling" to "Scale Full Screen" and that did it!
