Alternates to Ccleaner

Post by dbt1949 »

I've been using Ccleaner for years now to clean up my computer. All of a sudden it won't even come on. I've uninstalled it and reinstalled the latest version. It worked one time and now doesn't come on.
I already have a good anti virus/spyware program that cleans up any of those things automatically as well as a protector.
No, I just want something to clean up my cookies and browser and history type thing.

Thanks.

Wise Disk Cleaner is an effective alternative to CCleaner, and ought to be a good choice if your primary concern is junk file clean-up.

I have Malwarebytes Premium and I couldn't see where it works like Ccleaner.

Wise Disk Cleaner did not work either. Something must be not allowing these programs to work.

Okay now I see. I have to run as administrator.
Evidently Windows update has fucked this up too.

Still using CCleaner up to now...still works for me but if you want a sure way but manually...you can do disk cleanup utility by right clicking the drive you want to clean and hit properties.

I use UVK Portable for the junk/temp file stuff, then run ccleaner as an extra cleaner and if I'm troubleshooting or trying to speed things up I will use Ccleaners reg cleaner. UVK Has one, but I've never tried it. (UVK has a LOT of things in it for cleaning and troubleshooting.
