RYSE is really fun - just make sure you understand how to play. I didn't and was quite frustrated for a while and almost quit, but once I started playing it the right way I had a blast. To quote myself from April of last year:
At some point during the tutorial I completely missed that the entire point of this game is to initiate executions, not actually exchange in a blow-for-blow sword swing with groups of dudes. In my defense, the game looks amazing and there's a lot to take in when they start you off.
Don't be afraid to start on the easiest level!
