old xbox 360 controller needed

After all this reading on the board about controllers for the PC and getting stuck on Darksiders PC due to the controls Ive decided I need a wired 360 controller. A beat up used one. I didn't see anything cheap near me. Does anyone perhaps have one they'd part with for shipping? If not what might a used one cost ?

You actually need the wired pc one, or a third party wireless adapter and I don't know how well the latter work. Was about $24 on Amazon when I got mine...

I meant the wireless with the play and charge connector wouldn't work, but really said so poorly...

BUMP. Just updating my beg for a controller. Maybe someone has one now? I can pay shipping or a small amount come the first of the month. Needs to be an old wired one so i can plug it into my PC to play these old console type games like Darksiders. Dont care what it looks like as long as its wired and works. Can be bright green and beat all to hell

Yeah, they are pretty cheap. I found a Logitech one on sale for $5 shipped.

And there seems to be two types or brands. One is branded Xbox and Ive heard most are fake from China . It comes in black and white and is $12. The other is from Britain and I dont see info on it. Its black and runs $16. Im leaning to the Britain one.

I ask because Id rather use Amazon to order than Ebay and Amazon seems to be rife with fakes.

Update: Ok I ordered this one below. Found a vendor with nearly 50k reviews and 97% approval that had it for only $7 + $6 shipping...a little high on shipping but real cheap on main price. In the end I got it for only $1 more than all the other vendors price before shipping.Win!

I was just thinking it was a shame that the wireless usb stuff for my mouse and headphones wouldn't work for the xbox controller. its the same stuff I think...2.4ghz.

Got my dongle in the mail today. Hope it works. It has a tiny little CD with it. from what i read I am not to use it and to get a driver from MS.

Ok its working! I had to unplug my joystick to get Darksiders to work with it but Im having a lot of fun with that game again since I can use my 360 controller. AWESOME!!
