Some free Steam games available

Post by Windows95 »

Browsing through my Steam account, noted I have a bunch of gift games up for grabs. Not looking for anything, just PM me if interested. First come first serve, but just one game each please (unless nobody else is interested). I'll need your e-mail address unless you're already a friend on Steam.

Portal
Half Life 2
Warhammer 40K: Dawn of War II - Retribution

Dirt 2
Sid Meier's Civilization IV
Half Life 2 Episode 1
Max Payne 2
Secret of Monkey Island
Bioshock

Thanks!

Since W95 was kind enough to give me Bioshock, I'll pay it forward by mentioning again that I have a copy of Torchlight 1 and of Renegade Ops. Both available to anyone who PMs me for them.

Kestrel, can you PM me your e-mail? For some reason I can't send the game direct to you through Steam. Had the same problem with Lassr. Not sure if it's a problem with Steam or me.

Got a copy of Steller Impact (from Bundlestar Bundle) to give away (no DLC). I already have the game w/ DLCs.

Send me PM to claim. :) First come first serve.

EDIT: Claimed!

I do still have a copy of Atom Zombie Smasher from the Blendo sale though... Any one?

I've got a free Steam key for XCOM: Enemy Unknown if there's anyone that hasn't played it yet that wants it.

Wow. I'm tempted but will leave it open for someone else as my backlog is quite large. Kudos for the offer.

Yes, if you like intelligent shooters. It was a spiritual successor to System Shock 2, although it was a lot less subtle.

Cool beans. I'll go dig up a site and give it a go. Can't be that much nowadays.

I am so glad I didn't see this. I have no time to set down Eador to pick up XCom after having set down CK to pick up Eador when I have a huge backlog of games (and life) already waiting for me.

I so need to retire so I can have time to play video games until I get sick of them and then get out and actually do something.

I have a request. This isn't my thread, so you can do what you want, but can we consider only posting these in the Pay It Forward thread?
viewtopic.php?f=8&t=131" target="_blank

I've taken to posting my free keys in three different threads. I figured after the server got borked, we might as well consolidate since posts got lost anyway. The only caveat is that contrary to the first post in the PIF thread, I see no need for people to offer up another game when they claim a key. Coming back later when you have one to offer would be nice, but not necessary.

I suggest a single thread for free games but not use the pay it forward one. That one will strike most as being only free if you give a free one too and a lot cant do that. I suggest we create a new thread simply entitled free games to give away...no strings or some such. It can include games and tokens and even Steam trading cards.

What's wrong with pay it forward? There's no "time frame" for when you can contribute to someone else's happiness...

I've certainly given away plenty of keys there to people who don't come back to offer anything, and I don't care whether they do or not. But I'm not the thread police, so put them wherever makes sense. I just moved to there because at one point we'd hit 4 threads at least. I hesitate to make another.
