looking for old(er) Kindle

Post by hitbyambulance »

my 2nd gen keyboard met an untimely end tonight when my son put a chair leg on the device and sat in the chair. it was a 3G wireless one as well. boo hoo.

probably other makes and models of eReaders would be fine too.

Any particular reason why older?

They still do the wireless, amd newer models are higher resolution. Keyboard maybe.

the lack of side-mounted page-turn buttons is sorely missed. i can hold the thing in one hand, but need to let go of the Kindle to tap the screen with that hand. annoying. the backlight is a welcome thing, tho.

As I recall, they fixed that problem in the later versions. Good to remember though.
