There's a new badge as well - they're adding some type of official "Steam Award" category and by helping to nominate games, you can earn a badge. Haven't looked too deeply, but I like the idea. Info here.

Keep the category list handy. You have to find a game in the store and then vote from its store page. One category per game.Smoove_B wrote:There's a new badge as well - they're adding some type of official "Steam Award" category and by helping to nominate games, you can earn a badge. Word to the wise - it seems Steam is rolling out the sale prices piecemeal. I was disappointed when I went to my wish list about half an hour ago, but going back now I see many more titles marked down.
I spent 90% of the money I made on women, booze, and drugs. The other 10% I just pissed away.

Yeah, I imagine they're slowly diverting power to the sale shields after re-routing all available power to keep the server engines from crashing.

Damn, nothing on my Wishlist is more than 50% off. I'm deep into a couple of games right now and have Watch_Dogs 2 coming in less than a week, so it's probably not going to be much of a sale for me. I miss the thrill of flash sales

Re: Steam's Deals of the Day/Weekend/Midweek
I was quietly hoping for a good sale on Total WarWarWarhammer (I've seen it for $40, was hoping for $30), but nada. I've got a set Steam budget for the holidays (I save up to fund my gaming for the rest of the year), so I'll just wait and see what comes up next month. Same thing with No Man's Sky. I want to give it a whirl, but with its issues I'll wait until it drops a big more (It is $35 right now.) South Park: The Stick of Truth is still tempting, though.

Re: Steam's Deals of the Day/Weekend/Midweek
I'm a casual fan of the show and this game was awesome. I have to believe real fans enjoyed it more than I did and I enjoyed it a whole bunch. They really take the game to levels I didn't think would be possible with various gags. It's...crazy. I'd say it's about playing for the story (it's like being part of a really long episode). The actual combat mechanics aren't all that deep or difficult.Blackhawk wrote: South Park: The Stick of Truth is still tempting, though.

I've been waiting for a good sale on Dragon's Dogma and 60% off does just fine.

Done. Kind of an odd awards system, though, since it could be any Steam game released at any time.Smoove_B wrote:There's a new badge as well - they're adding some type of official "Steam Award" category and by helping to nominate games, you can earn a badge. But you could just sign up since you can see that game is in the next bundle. You can subscribe for one month and get that game instantly, and then whatever else you get with it on the first Friday of December is just bonus. And then unsubscribe.

Just posting leaked then confirmed Steam Holiday sale dayes...
The most awaited Steam sale of the year, because it happens at the end of the year, will start on Dec. 22, and ends by Jan. 2,
The 22nd seems hella late to start the Christmas sale.

Re: Steam's Deals of the Day/Weekend/Midweek
When it was earlier, I'm guessing there was more to manage behind the scenes because they had daily and timed deals. Now that everything that's on sale on 12/22 is also on sale on 1/2/17, I'm guessing the crew that needs to be around to manage problems is much, much smaller.Daehawk wrote:The 22nd seems hella late to star to Christmas sale.

Re: Steam's Deals of the Day/Weekend/Midweek
Daedalic's got 2 bundles that really tempt me to finally get their almost complete adventure game collection.
With their Armageddon and Gigantic Bundles combined I'll get 25 games for $31.98. (that's $1.28 each)
The games:
Deponia
Chaos on Deponia
Goodbye Deponia
The Whispered World Special Edition
The Dark Eye: Chains of Satinav
A New Beginning - Final Cut
Memoria
The Night of the Rabbit
Edna & Harvey: The Breakout
Edna & Harvey: Harvey's New Eyes
1954 Alcatraz
Anna's Quest
Blackguard
Blackguard 2
Cultures - 8th Wonder of the World
Cultures - Northland
Dead Synchronicity: Tomorrow Comes Today
Decay: The Mare
Gomo: Journey of a Roach
Munin
Randal's Monday
SKYHILL
The Last Tinker: City of Colors
Zanzarah: The Hidden Portal
Which of these games make this a good deal in your opinion
Jesus said, "Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body."[Matt 10:28] God can totally destroy us.
Jesus also said, "For my Father's will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day.”[John 6:40] Eternal life is conditional.
His disciple John wrote, "Whoever has the Son has eternal life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have eternal life. [1 John 5:12] Eternal life is optional.

Probably all of them except
Cultures - 8th Wonder of the World
Cultures - Northland
Decay: The Mare
Gomo (Journey of a Roach is a different game)
The Last Tinker: City of Colors
Zanzarah: The Hidden Portal
And even they have some value if you like all varieties of adventure games (and strategy for the old Cultures games).
