After the Summer Sale, they're back to the Deal of the Day:

Looks like they have a page stating that they just got access to MLB 2K11 and it is 50% off today, but there's no actual item page to which to proceed, as the link goes back to the main page at the moment.

IL-2 Sturmovik: 1946 - 50% off

$4.99

I already own it on GoG, but I'll be much more likely to play it if I buy it on Steam (and get a new joystick...) :|

Supposed to be pretty good, right? Of course, I've only played through a few maps of Defense Grid so I probably don't need another TD game. But it's only $5 and I was already going to buy Dredmor so I could just get them both at the same time and . . .

baelthazar suggested it as a light strategy/builder game for you back in January.

I received this free with one of the indie bundles. It's well made but doesn't quite have the charm and character that Defense Grid has but it does have 2-3 times the variety.

Dammit Steam and your awesome prices! I was supposed to be done spending money after your summer sale.

Actually, I was hoping to see this one highlighted one day during the sale, but it never showed up. It was also the cheapest item in my top ten wishlist items, which I was hoping to win in the grand prize drawing.

City of Heroes Going Rogue: Complete Collection - 67% off, $9.99. Includes the base game and one month of game time.

*And the Going Rogue Complete Collection Item Pack:
Alpha and Omega Costume Sets

The Alpha and Omega costume sets are some of the boldest, most striking, and most menacing costume designs we have offered. These themes contain 25 new head, chest, arm, shoulder, gloves, pants, and boot costume options. Use these distinctive pieces to express the true hope or darkness that is in the heart of your Hero, Rogue, Villain, or Vigilante.
...
Shadowy Presence

With the use of the Shadowy Presence power, your character fades into the shadows. Your character becomes nearly invisible to the keenest senses, but this uncanny stealth comes at a price. Movement, use of power, or taking damage breaks the effect. Shadowy Presence has a 10-minute cooldown and is not affected by recharge buffs.

Heroic and Villainous Stances

Stand proud displaying just how selfless or dastardly your character is through these new stance emotes. The new heroic and villainous stances can be activated from the Quick Chat window or typed in the chat line
...
Alpha and Omega Auras

The City of Heroes Going Rogue®: Complete Collection Item Pack also contains two brand new auras that express your character's true intent.

I played this game free on some site....I'm thinking probably Kongregate, but might have been elsewhere. Otherwise, I would spring for it.

I was looking at this and thinking - "advanced simulations of traffic! Just what I've bene dreaming of!" Then I noticed this:
Vienna, Helsinki, Berlin, and Amsterdam - await the steady hand of a planner to manage their transportation needs in Cities in Motion. Overseeing the changing needs of people from 1920 to 2020
1920 to 2020, eh? So... does the simulation change at all around 1933, 1934?

Yeah, not on sale, but I was just going with the obvious jokes about the timeframes and the cities involved.

Brainpipe - 66% off, $3.40
What is BRAINPIPE? Is it an otherworldly mind control device, masquerading as a seemingly quaint computer game? Is it a gateway to worlds beyond our own, created by eldritch wizardry and invoked by strange creatures hidden away on uncharted islands in the South Pacific? Perhaps it's a message from the future, an instruction to mankind to uplift humanity to a higher state of being. Or maybe it's just an addictive endurance run game from Digital Eel.

Civilization V... $17 as the Weekend sale.

I've been trying to limit my Steam purchases to under$10. But this one is going to be really difficult to resist.

Daily Deal: Eufloria - 67% off, $4.99
Eufloria is an ambient game of space exploration and conquest that employs surprising themes of plant growth and bio mechanical evolution.

The game allows the player to explore a beautifully realized universe rendered in a style that is both unique and compelling. Eufloria's aesthetics are reminiscent of children's books like "the little prince" and the gameplay is supported by an original ambient soundtrack by Brian Grainger.

Gameplay revolves around conquering asteroids in space and using their resources to literally grow and nurture new semi-organic plants and creatures to do the player's bidding.

The player is pitched again several teams of AI opponents that all vie for the same resources and can offer fierce opposition.

I can easily say this is a GREAT adventure game. Liked it more than Siberia or The Longest Journey. I think the only adventure game I liked more is Full Throttle.
