Human Resource Machine is a very different programming puzzle game than the stuff made by Zachtronics. I am just saying that because i finally started playing Opus Magnum.

Druidstone was a ton of fun. Made by the Grimlock team, very different, but I played it through until the end. More like Blackguards gameplay if you have played it.

I played Opus Magnum for awhile but I found myself feeling like I do in some puzzle games, I'm just generating an expected outcome and I start to get bored. The only Zachtronics game I finished to the end was Infinifactory because I was actually building something and I felt challenged.

I've started playing Human Resource Machine and although it was about forty years ago that people were actually paying me to code (among other things) I remember why I wasn't that good at it. I'm not good at looking at code and visualizing what is going to happen. I'm much better at trial and error; write code, run code, see failure, fix code, run code, see failure, etc.

I was poking around a bit and noticed this sale, Sid Meier’s Civilization VI: Platinum Edition. I have the basic game but nothing else. The two expansion DLCs are 50% off at $14.99 and $19.99, but with this bundle you can pick up all the civilization and scenario packs for less than four bucks. Normally I pass on those, but maybe this sale would make it worthwhile.
